Head Foo Fighter Dave Grohl wrote the foreword to his mom’s upcoming book, “From Cradle To Stage: Stories From The Mothers Who Rocked and Raised Rock Stars.” Dave’s mom Virginia spoke to the mom’s of Rush’s Geddy Lee, Rage Against The Machine’s Tom Morello and even Janis Winehouse, mother of the late Amy Winehouse.  Grohl wrote in his intro that the interview with Amy’s mom hit close to home because of the parallel between her and Kurt Cobain.

UK hard rock band As Lions have released a video for their new song, “World On Fire.”  As Lions is fronted by Austin Dickinson, son of metal icon, Bruce Dickinson.  The younger Dickinson says that his band isn’t trying to sound like Iron Maiden and he is not trying to sound like his dad.  He says that he gives his all, letting his work both victories and losses stand on their own and he generally ignores all the “so and so’s kid” tag.

Bon Jovi is currently touring in support of their newest album “This House Is Not For Sale.”  Unfortunately, the band was forced to cancel their dates at Madison Square Garden due to illness.  A spokesperson for the band said that it was a difficult decision to make, but that singer Jon Bon Jovi is suffering from bronchitis and therefore would not be able to give the powerhouse performance that the band is known for.

Incubus will be releasing their eighth studio album later this month, simply called “8.”  The band worked with EDM artist/producer Skrillex who produced and mixed the album and have just debuted another brand new song called “Undefeated.”
