Kim Monroe’s Music Minute April 20th

Nine Inch Nails Trent Reznor has often cited Todd Rundgren as one of his top influences.  Atticus Russ, Trent’s writing partner sent Rundgren a bunch of ideas for the latter’s upcoming new album.  One of the tracks “Deaf Ears” went back and forth between Todd and the Nine Inch Nails guys and available on line now.

We know bands love to do covers, mostly to pay homage, right?  Well, this one, I’m not so sure about, but you can hear Eddie Van Halen’s classic guitar solo from Michael Jackson’s “Beat It” in a very unique way.  A band that simply goes by “Bottle Boys” have done the Van Halen guitar solo by blowing into empty beer bottles.  Feel Free to check it out for yourself.

It was only a matter of time, but there is a new incident to report from Puddle of Mudd’s lead singer.  Wes Scantlin has found himself in a lot of interesting situations and the latest happened recently in Dallas.  Apparently during crowd fave “She Hates Me” Wes has a rather odd stare down with drummer Dave Moreno before grabbing his bag and walking off stage ending the show.
