Kim Monroe’s Music Minute April 21st

In a recent interview with Alternative Press, former Creed frontman Scott Stapp is a bit critical about how Stone Temple Pilots handled the rumor that Stapp was going to be the new singer.  Stapp, who is currently promoting his new band Art Of Anarchy, said that he felt STP’s public statement on the matter could have been handled with a bit more class.

They say time heals and apparently that is the case for Journey guitarist Neal Schon and former lead singer Steve Perry.  The pair chatted backstage during the Rock Hall Induction ceremony and realized it had been too long and that they should get coffee sometime soon.  Schon even said that looking back some of the reasons for the separation were silly.

This year’s RIOT Fest in Chicago is shaping up to be quite the event!  Already announced as two of the weekend’s headliners are Nine Inch Nails and Queens Of The Stone Age and now punk rockers Jawbreaker have signed on to do a one off for the festival.  Other performers include Wu-Tang Clan, Bad Brains and Paramore and will take over Douglas Park beginning September 15th.
