Kim Monroe’s Music Minute April 8th and 9th

Metallica have been issued a Cease and Desist letter for one of their new tracks “Moth Into Flame.”  An 80’s death metal band previously known as Incubus, not the one you are thinking, now knows as Opprobrium claim that the Metallica song has been lifted from their song “Hunger for Power.”  Metallica’s team have not responded to the letter as of yet.

At long last,it would appear that singer/guitarist Jack White is working on new music.  White just released a track called “Battle Cry” through his label Third Man Records.  He said that for a new record he wants to write more like Michael Jackson in that he works it all out in his head instead of with instruments.  White was featured in Beyonce’s track “Don’t Hurt Yourself” last year which was nominated for a Grammy in the category “Best Rock Performance.”

Trans-Siberian Orchestra co-founder and creator Paul O’Neill past away earlier this week as a result of a chronic illness. Chris Caffery who worked with ONeill in TSO as well as Savatage said in a Facebook post that “all Paul ever wanted to do was change the world through his music, he did that and so much more.  ONeill was 61.
