Kim Monroe’s Music Minute August 1st

In 2015, Motley Crue wrapped up their career after 164 shows in 72 cities.  According to bassist Nikki Sixx, things didn’t really end in a good way.  He went on the explain that in the beginning they were four guys who agreed on a common idea, but as time went on ideas changed and not everyone agreed on the direction of the band going forward.  Sixx said even through all of the dysfunction, he still feels a great deal of pride for what they accomplished together.

Queens of the Stone Age were scheduled to perform at this upcoming weekend’s “Outside Lands”…but the festival organizers announced that the band will not performing due injury.  No further word from either the band or management, on the upside, the band’s new album “Villians” is set for release on August 25th.

AC/DC’s Brian Johnson was involved in a rather scary accident over the weekend.  The singer was involved in a rollover crash during a celebrity race in the UK.  Fortunately, he was able to walk away with no injuries, however, he did say later that he felt continued issues with his hearing may have been to blame for what happened on the track.

About Kim Monroe

Born in Northeast Ohio, traveled to Charlotte, NC, Seattle, Cleveland and finally back to Seattle. This is, by far, my favorite city in the US, not to mention the best people! I am a happy mother of two great kids and lots of animals! In my rare downtime, I enjoy reading and watching true crime shows, plus American Horror Story every season!
