Kim Monroe’s Music Minute August 28th

So, if this whole Foo Fighters thing doesn’t work out, apparently Dave Grohl has another career plan!  After just directing the band’s latest video, he shared the fact that he was approached to direct a major film last year.  He said he was really into the whole thing, but scheduling didn’t permit his participation, but he did say, of directing some day, it’s only a matter of time!

Metallica and Mastodon are just two of the rockers contributing tracks to the next “Ten Bands, One Cause” album.  The album will be released on pink vinyl and proceeds go towards “Gilda’s Club NYC” which supports cancer patients and their families.

It’s been 2 years since, what many believe, was their final show…but it appears the Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson of Rush may be teaming up to do their own thing.  According to Lifeson, he and the bassist/singer are kicking around the idea which would be called “LeeLifeson”

About Kim Monroe

Born in Northeast Ohio, traveled to Charlotte, NC, Seattle, Cleveland and finally back to Seattle. This is, by far, my favorite city in the US, not to mention the best people! I am a happy mother of two great kids and lots of animals! In my rare downtime, I enjoy reading and watching true crime shows, plus American Horror Story every season!
