Kim Monroe’s Music Minute August 29th

In a recent interview, Judas Priest’s Rob Halford spoke out on the continued discrimination of the LGBT community.  He said that while there is much more social acceptance, he is frustrated that some people can’t just accept folks for who they are and that it is not a choice.  Halford revealed that he was gay nearly 20 years ago.

On this season of the revival of Twin Peaks, there have been many bands taking the stage at “The Roadhouse.”  This past weekend, it was Eddie Vedder’s turn, or as he was introduced by his birthname, Edward Louis Severson.  Eddie performed his song, “Out of Sand.”

Last weekend’s Reading Festival had plenty of surprises, but probably the biggest surprise of the night came during Muse’s encore.  Muse frontman Matthew Bellamy brought AC/DC singer Brian Johnson to the stage to perform “Back In Black.”
