Kim Monroe’s Music Minute August 3rd

Foo Fighters have a brand new album, “Concrete And Gold” coming out next month and have been debuting several new tracks over the past few months.  And this coming weekend, the band is performing a small intimate venue in Chicago ahead of a North American tour which will begin in October.

Nearly two weeks since the tragic passing of Linkin Park’s Chester Bennington, tributes continue to pour in.  The most recent happened a few nights ago in New Jersey as Coldplay kicked off their US tour.  Singer Chris Martin performed a solo piano rendition of “Crawling” which even got the attention of Linkin Park’s Mike Sinoda who happened to be attending the show.  Shinoda posted the performance via his social media and simply said, “thank you Coldplay.  It sounded beautiful.”

Maybe you’ve already seen this, but a calf, named Genie, born on a Texas ranch, looks just like KISS bassist Gene Simmons in full make up!  Hopefully Gene will not decided sue the poor little cow for impersonating him!

About Kim Monroe

Born in Northeast Ohio, traveled to Charlotte, NC, Seattle, Cleveland and finally back to Seattle. This is, by far, my favorite city in the US, not to mention the best people! I am a happy mother of two great kids and lots of animals! In my rare downtime, I enjoy reading and watching true crime shows, plus American Horror Story every season!
