Kim Monroe’s Music Minute July 10th

If you had been hoping to see Def Leppard and couldn’t make either of the 2 area shows…you may still have another chance.  According to Leppard guitarist Vivian Campbell, the band is in talks with the recently Rock N Roll Hall of Fame inducted Journey about pairing up for a tour.  The 2 bands toured together before in 2006 and may go out together again in 2018.

Foo Fighters Dave Grohl shared the meaning behind the title of the band’s upcoming album “Concrete and Gold.”  He said that there is a theme to the eleven songs and the title track is the last song.  It goes, in part, “I have an engine made of gold, something so beautiful.  The world will never know.  Our roots are stronger than you know.  Up through the concrete we will grow.”

System Of A Down fans who have been hopeful about a new album, this is going to be a disappointment.  According to the band’s Shavo Odadjian it’s not happening right now.  The band is currently in Europe doing a few festivals and select headline dates.

About Kim Monroe

Born in Northeast Ohio, traveled to Charlotte, NC, Seattle, Cleveland and finally back to Seattle. This is, by far, my favorite city in the US, not to mention the best people! I am a happy mother of two great kids and lots of animals! In my rare downtime, I enjoy reading and watching true crime shows, plus American Horror Story every season!
