Kim Monroe’s Music Minute July 12th

Try to wrap your head around this one…the Red Hot Chili Peppers have been making music and touring for 33 years!  And, according to drummer Chad Smith, the band is beginning to kick around some ideas of how to “end it.”   Smith, Flea and Anthony Keidis are all 54 years old and the toll of touring is beginning to affect them.  The drummer said they all still want to make music, but are considering paring touring down a bit.

While touring overseas during the 4th of July holiday weekend, heavy metal/hard core band Pro Pain’s singer suffered a vicious attack.  Gary Meskil has taken to social media to thank friends and fans for the support following the attack.  Meskil was pick-pocketed and then struck on the head with an ice pick!  He survived the attack and credits his NY Yankees hat…and doctors for saving his life.

The count is now 6!  So far, Foo Fighters have performed SIX of the new songs that will appear on the band’s new studio album with the latest “Arrow” debuted in Greece.  “Concrete and Gold” will be out on September 15th.
