Kim Monroe’s Music Minute July 17th

Smashing Pumpkins leader, Billy Corgan is partnering with the online music gear marketplace, Reverb, to sell more than one hundred pieces of the band’s gear.  Corgan is listing guitars, amps, drum machines and more!  Much of the gear was used while recording and touring behind some of the band’s most iconic records like Siamese Dream, Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness and early demos.

Queens of the Stone Age are getting closer to the release of their new studio album “Villians.”  So, to wet your appetite, the band has released a minute long teaser video that you can check out.

Tool frontman Maynard James Keenan recently discussed why the long delay in getting a new album done.  Keenan explains that his bandmates are very meticulous and analytical in how they approach their writing.  He said that they are the guys laying the foundation and he can’t really do his parts until they are done.  The singer also said that he has pushed a little, but if he pushes too much it can cause friction, so he and fans just need to be patient.

About Kim Monroe

Born in Northeast Ohio, traveled to Charlotte, NC, Seattle, Cleveland and finally back to Seattle. This is, by far, my favorite city in the US, not to mention the best people! I am a happy mother of two great kids and lots of animals! In my rare downtime, I enjoy reading and watching true crime shows, plus American Horror Story every season!
