Kim Monroe’s Music Minute June 30th

Queen with Adam Lambert kicked of their North American tour last week in Phoenix.  The band debuted a brand new state of the art stage design that pays tribute to the 40th anniversary of their biggest album “News Of The World.”  Queen and Adam Lambert play Key Arena tonight.

More details are now available about the new studio album from Foo Fighters.  “Concrete and Gold” is slated for a September 15th release and lead Foo, Dave Grohl said it is the band’s biggest album to date.  The band worked with producer Greg Kurstin and Grohl let him know that he wants a record that sounds like Motorhead doing Sgt. Pepper, to which Kurstin responded, “OK.”

Selling 40 million albums world wide, being inducted into both the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Canadian Music Hall of Fame are great honors, but you know you’ve really made it when you have a capybara named after you!  Welcome to the world Alex, Geddy and Neil, of course named after Alex Lifeson, Geddy Lee and Neil Pert of Rush.
