Kim Monroe’s Music Minute March 14th

As if Metallica’s World Wired Tour wasn’t already big, the band have just announced the addition of Mix Master Mike.  An announcement on the band’s website said that Mike would be spinning rock and metal throughout the evening.  Mix Master Mike was named “world’s greatest DJ” by USA Today and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of the Beastie Boys.

Speaking of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Pearl Jam have invited all of their former drummers to perform with them at the induction ceremony next month.  Pearl Jam shared a hand written letter through their social media extending an invitation to all drummers who “left their mark.”

Tool have announced a handful of east coast dates surrounding their confirmed appearances at a few music festivals over the summer.  Still no release date for any new Tool music, although singer Maynard James Keenan has been working on vocals.  However, Keenan is also working on new music with A Perfect Circle and is expected to be on tour with them through April and part of May.
