Kim Monroe’s Music Minute March 15th

An interview conducted with Motely Crue and Sixx AM’s Nikki Sixx surfaced recently.  In the interview Sixx comments on Axl Rose and AC/DC and about GNR’s “Not In This Lifetime” Tour.   The bassist says that while it was hard for him to imagine AC/DC without Brian Johnson, he feels that Axl would be a great fill.  Sixx also said of the GNR reunion, Axl seems to be really happy these days.

The Offspring and Sublime with Rome are teaming up to hit the road this summer.  The outing kicks off in July in Airway Heights, Washington and ends September 30th in Salt Lake City.  The bands are co-headlining and will find The Offspring at the top of the bill for the first 8 dates and Sublime does the remaining shows performing last.

An opera based on Pink Floyd’s “The Wall” debuted in Montreal last weekend.  In attendance at the inaugural performance was Roger Waters who was initially a bit tentative about the collaboration of rock and opera.  Waters said he went into it expecting not to be moved, but admitted he was moved.  “Another Brick In The Wall:  The Opera” will be performed in the US by the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra in 2018.
