Kim Monroe’s Music Minute March 18th and 19th

Weezer are set to hit the road for the summer.  The band just released a video for their latest single “Feels Like Summer” and are performing at SXSW this weekend.  Weezer has a stop in Seattle on April 9th at The Showbox.

Pearl Jam will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in just a few weeks.  A few days ago the band announced that while all of their previous drummers are not being inducted, they have all been invited to attend.  Unfortunately, one of those drummers, Matt Chamberlin announced that he will be unable to make it due to other commitments.

Wolfgang Van Halen, son of Eddie, is set to release an album.  The project takes “solo” literally, in that the younger Van Halen plays the drums, bass, guitar, keyboards and vocals.  No word on a release date, but proud papa Eddie said it sounds like AC/DC meets Van Halen meets progressive pop.

About Kim Monroe

Born in Northeast Ohio, traveled to Charlotte, NC, Seattle, Cleveland and finally back to Seattle. This is, by far, my favorite city in the US, not to mention the best people! I am a happy mother of two great kids and lots of animals! In my rare downtime, I enjoy reading and watching true crime shows, plus American Horror Story every season!
