Kim Monroe’s Music Minute May 13th and 14th

Former Van Halen bassist Michael Anthony has been popping up in the news lately, largely due to the fact that he feels now would be the best time for an all original reunion with both David Lee Roth AND Sammy Hagar handling the vocals.  He went on to say that the only way such a reunion could work would be that everyone needs to be really into it and not for the money.

A major hurdle has been cleared in a nearly 50 year old case involving a 1969 Jimi Hendrix concert film.  Jimi’s manager had given permission for a show at London’s Royal Albert Hall to be shot for a concert film.  Nearly 50 years later a deal was struck but fell apart over distribution.  Bottom line, the movie is getting closer to being released.

Valentine’s Day has come and gone and the promise of a new album from Marilyn Manson was in question.  However, word is that Manson will be releasing his follow up to 2015’s “The Pale Emperor” this summer and he has changed the name.  Originally titled “Say10” the album will be called “Heaven Upside Down” and has been largely compared to two of his earlier releases “Antichrist Superstar” and “Mechanical Animals.”
