Kim Monroe’s Music Minute May 15th

It’s been nearly 20 since they last toured the US, but Metallica are off and running!  Last week’s first show in Baltimore had all of the bells and whistles without going too far.  The staging includes a circular catwalk that surrounds a small fan area called the “snake pit.”  And every seat was a great seat thanks to the massive video monitors.  Metallica take over Century Link on August 9th.

Even though there have been rumors circulating as of late about a potential Led Zeppelin reunion to take place at this year’s “Desert Trip,” sadly it looks like that is not happening.  Apparently the event promoter, Golden Voice, has decided not to do the event again in 2017, saying that the first one was a “special moment in time.”

Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler has never been one to shy away from tough questions.  In a recent interview, he tackled everything from inner-tensions with the band, drug and sex addictions and his relationship with his “toxic twin” Joe Perry.

About Kim Monroe

Born in Northeast Ohio, traveled to Charlotte, NC, Seattle, Cleveland and finally back to Seattle. This is, by far, my favorite city in the US, not to mention the best people! I am a happy mother of two great kids and lots of animals! In my rare downtime, I enjoy reading and watching true crime shows, plus American Horror Story every season!
