Kim Monroe’s Music Minute May 5th

Apparently as we were all scratching our heads over the fact that restaurant chain Applebee’s was using a classic AC/DC song in their ads last year, Sony Music was preparing a lawsuit.  According to the lawsuit, Applebee’s is being sued for $300K for using “Rock and Roll Ain’t Noise Pollution” and one other copyrighted song illegally.  However, the restaurant claims they did pay for the usage through a third party.

Recently, former Van Halen front man David Lee Roth made a rather large donation to his former bandmate. bassist Michael Anthony.  Anthony recently announced that he is participating in a charity walk to raise money for Children’s Hospital Los Angeles following the tragic death of his infant grandson.  Roth ponied up $10-grand in support.

Twin Peaks fans, it’s almost here!  It’s been a little more than 25 years, but the revival of the show airs on Showtime on May 21st as a two-part premier.  A new teaser trailer has just been released as well featuring some of the veteran cast members and how they look today.

About Kim Monroe

Born in Northeast Ohio, traveled to Charlotte, NC, Seattle, Cleveland and finally back to Seattle. This is, by far, my favorite city in the US, not to mention the best people! I am a happy mother of two great kids and lots of animals! In my rare downtime, I enjoy reading and watching true crime shows, plus American Horror Story every season!
