Kim Monroe’s Music Minute May 9th

Guns N Roses were excited to announce a historic show happening in October.  The band is currently continuing their “Not In This Lifetime” tour and will share the stage with rock legends, The Who in Buenos Aires.  The show also marks the first time in South America for the iconic group.

The new documentary “American Valhalla” chronicles Iggy Pop’s 2016 album “Post Pop Depression.”  In the newly released trailer, Queens of the Stone Age singer/guitarist Josh Homme marveled at the opportunity he was given to work with Pop.  Homme, who produced the album, said that it was not his intention to ever blend their two musical styles.

Metallica’s World Wired Tour gets underway on Wednesday, but first the band has a few special surprises for fans.  First tonight at 6pm, you can watch a rehearsal by logging in to 989rocks.com and click on the link.  Then tomorrow night, you can hear the rehearsal in it’s entirety, plus an interview starting at 7pm.  And, there’s more!  The band also just released a teaser video of some of the shows they’ve done so far.

About Kim Monroe

Born in Northeast Ohio, traveled to Charlotte, NC, Seattle, Cleveland and finally back to Seattle. This is, by far, my favorite city in the US, not to mention the best people! I am a happy mother of two great kids and lots of animals! In my rare downtime, I enjoy reading and watching true crime shows, plus American Horror Story every season!
