Kim Monroe’s Music Minute November 3rd

Led Zeppelin’s Robert Plant released a new solo album last month called”Carry Fire.” Recently the singer shared his feelings on his vocal performance in the early days of Zeppelin.  Plant said that he found his vocals horrific on “Babe I’m Going To Leave You” and shared his thoughts on a few other songs like “Friends” and”Achilles Last Stand.”

A new Seattle-based supergroup has recently emerged.  The Levee Walkers include Pearl Jam’s Mike McCready, Guns N Roses bassist, Duff McKagan, and Screaming Trees Barrett Martin on drums.  “All Things Fade Away” was just released and features a Seattle up and comer Ayron Jones.

Former Van Halen singer Sammy Hagar, who recently turned 70, has officially given up on the possibility of a reunion.  Several months ago, Hagar felt that the ice had begun to melt between him and the Van Halen brothers, prompting him to discuss his wish for a tour that would include him and original singer David Lee Roth.  However, Roth has said he is “over” the idea and since he has not heard a word from either Eddie or Alex Van Halen, Hagar said there is no hope.

About Kim Monroe

Born in Northeast Ohio, traveled to Charlotte, NC, Seattle, Cleveland and finally back to Seattle. This is, by far, my favorite city in the US, not to mention the best people! I am a happy mother of two great kids and lots of animals! In my rare downtime, I enjoy reading and watching true crime shows, plus American Horror Story every season!
