William Patrick Corgan, as he now prefers to be called, is currently on a short tour in support of his new solo album “Ogilala.” Corgan played pretty much all of the instrumentation on the album, with the exception of a string quartet and original Smashing Pumpkins guitarist James Iha on the track “The Processional.” However, the singer cautions that working with Iha again solidifies a reunion, but Corgan has reconnected with all of the original band members, including bassist D’Arcy Wretzky.
You could say that Tool/A Perfect Circle front man, Maynard James Keenan is a bit of a renaissance man. In addition to his music career, Keenan owns a vineyard and practices Brazilian jiu-jitsu. Keenan’s interest in martial arts began with his father, who was also his wrestling coach in high school. The singers says that his practice is about personal growth, understanding and reflection as well as self defense.
Initial dates have been announced for “Dio Returns: The World Tour” which features the Ronnie James Dio hologram that debuted in Germany last year. According to Ronnie’s wife and long time manager, Wendy, the tour will make it to the US most likely in the summer of 2018.
