Kim Monroe’s Music Minute October 2nd

Maybe they are motivated by the 25th anniversary of their debut album “Core” because there seems to be a lot coming out of the Stone Temple Pilots camp lately.  Robert DeLeo confirmed in an interview with Rolling Stone that the band is, in fact, working on new music with a new singer and they hope to be putting out a new record soon!  His brother Dean said that the search was arduous!  An announcement could be coming soon.

William Patrick Corgan not only has a new solo album, called “Ogilala” set to come out on October 13th, he is also using the new album as the sound track to a silent film.  “Pillbox” described as “a hero’s journey” was directed by Linda Strawberry who had collaborated with Corgan many times throughout his career.  The film will be screened in London, LA, Chicago and New York.

Still no firm details on the health of Aerosmith front man Steven Tyler after the band was forced to cancel the last 4 shows of their current South American tour.  However, it has been reported that Tyler suffered a seizure following the band’s show in Sao Paulo, Brazil which led the singer to return home immediately.  No word on what caused the seizure, but Tyler is promising that he will be back!
