Kim Monroe’s Music Minute October 4th

Tributes from every corner of the music industry have been pouring in since news of Rock Legend, Tom Petty’s, cardiac arrest and subsequent death Monday night in LA.  Monday evening at the famed Viper Room, Candlebox’s Kevin Martin led a salute with fellow Sunset Jam night musicians and Coldplay performed a Tom Petty song during their Monday night set as well.

From the success of some of their previous brews, Iron Maiden is set to launch another beer.  Singer Bruce Dickinson, who is a big fan of Belgian ales, introduced “Hallowed” which is available in a limited edition now.  Dickinson describes their new beer as having a peppery yet soft aroma!

Dio fans will be pleased to hear that, according to the late singer’s widow, there are at least three unreleased songs in the archives.  Wendy Dio said it’s been 7 ½ years since her husband passed away and it’s still hard for her to revisit that part of his life, but she may consider getting the songs finished for release.

About Kim Monroe

Born in Northeast Ohio, traveled to Charlotte, NC, Seattle, Cleveland and finally back to Seattle. This is, by far, my favorite city in the US, not to mention the best people! I am a happy mother of two great kids and lots of animals! In my rare downtime, I enjoy reading and watching true crime shows, plus American Horror Story every season!
