Kim Monroe’s Music Minute September 13th

Okay, so it’s not the “classic lineup” reunion of KISS that you were hoping for, but maybe it’s a start?  For the first time in 16 years Gene Simmons will join for guitarist Ace Frehley for a benefit performance.  The show will take place in St. Paul Minnesota on September 20th to raise money for displaced children in Houston due to Hurricane Harvey.

Another glipse into the upcoming Freddie Mercury biopic “Bohemian Rhapsody” just emerged.  A fan captured video catches the cast, as Queen, coming out on stage for “Live Aid” at Wembley Stadium in 1985 and Rami Malek’s Freddie Mercury sitting at the piano and performing, to a backing track, the classic and film’s namesake “Bohemian Rhapsody.”

Detroit’s one and only, Kid Rock, has been coming under fire by his critics.  Rock is scheduled to perform for 6 shows at the city’s new “Little Caesar’s Arena” which the Detroit Free Press has called a “middle finger to the people of Detroit” due to his former use of a Confederate Flag.  Rock fired back in a lengthy Facebook post pointing out the things has done and continues to do for the city.

About Kim Monroe

Born in Northeast Ohio, traveled to Charlotte, NC, Seattle, Cleveland and finally back to Seattle. This is, by far, my favorite city in the US, not to mention the best people! I am a happy mother of two great kids and lots of animals! In my rare downtime, I enjoy reading and watching true crime shows, plus American Horror Story every season!
