Kim Monroe’s Music Minute September 1st

The filming of the Queen biopic is apparently underway!  Guitarist Brian May posted a photo from the set of one of the scenes recreating the stage of Live Aid.  May’s post reads ‘LOOK!! LIVE AID LIVES AGAIN!!  It’s a miracle.”

AS if a tour and working on new music with his own band isn’t enough, apparently Aerosmith guitarist, Joe Perry, has been busy with a few other musical projects.  Perry collaborated on the song “Tulsa Time” which is the lead track for Billy Ray Cyrus’ new album and both he and Steven Tyler have also joined other artists for the upcoming SpongeBob SquarePants stage production!

Rock stars have always written songs about persons, place and things that they have encountered on the road.  In the upcoming biography of AC/DC singer Bon Scott, author Jesse Fink digs into some of the rumors surrounding one of the band’s classics, “Whole Lotta Rosie.”
