Kim Monroe’s Music Minute September 27th

The remainder of Aerosmith’s Aero-Vederci Tour has been canceled due to an undisclosed illness of singer Steven Tyler.  The singer flew back to the US late Monday night following a show in South America on doctor’s orders.  Tyler apologized to fans and asked them not to worry that it is not life-threatening, but it is something that he needs to attend to immediately.  No further info has been made available.

Infamous KISS bassist/singer Gene Simmons is pretty savvy when it comes to marketing, but his upcoming 38-pound box set called “The Vault” was really putting off even his most hard core fans.  The problem?  The hefty $50,000 price tag, which supposedly included hand delivery by Simmons himself.  Turns out, that’s not really the case and  and that is definitely a mistake made by the company that runs the website hosting the sale.  Simmons said the cost is actually supposed to be $2,000.

Tom Morello has been pretty busy this year with his newest band, Prophets of Rage, but earlier this year he was able to enjoy a brief Audioslave reunion in LA for the Anit Inauguration Ball.  According to Morello, there was talk just starting about the potential of a more extensive reunion with an Audioslave set dropped  into a Prophets show, but sadly that would not come to be.  The guitarist went on to reveal that there is some unreleased Audioslave music and that at some point there may be plans to release it.

About Kim Monroe

Born in Northeast Ohio, traveled to Charlotte, NC, Seattle, Cleveland and finally back to Seattle. This is, by far, my favorite city in the US, not to mention the best people!
