Kim Monroe’s Music Minute September 28th

News on the “unexpected medical issues” that forced the cancellation of Aerosmith’s last four dates of their current tour is still unclear.  According the a statement by the band, “Steven Tyler is seeking immediate care and has been advised by his doctors that he cannot travel or perform at this time.”  However the singer is expected to make a full recovery.

Led Zeppelin front man, Robert Plant is set to release a new album, “Carry Fire” on October 13th and he has also announced a theater tour for early in 2018.  Tickets for the 3 week run will go on sale Friday and every ticket purchased will also receive either a physical or digital copy of the new album.

Last year, Pearl Jam ended their North American tour at the place singer Eddie Vedder refers to as “Oz,” Chicago’s Wrigley Field.  The concert film, “Let’s Play Two” will begin debuting over the next couple of weeks and the soundtrack is out tomorrow.  In the meantime, the band is streaming a performance of the 1994 track (and my personal fave) “Corduroy.”
