Kim Monroe’s Music Minute-Thursday

Former KISS guitarist Ace Frehley’s recent collaboration with Paul Stanley does NOT indicate an all original KISS reunion according to Gene Simmons, who says we’ve tried that a few times. Ace and original drummer Peter Criss had been kicked out of the band a few times because of drugs and alcohol.

Guitarists looking for a dirty, skuzzy vibe, Metallica’s Kirk Hammett has the pedal for you!  The Scuzz Box fuzz pedal is the newest creation from Hammett’s KDCK electronics and is now available for pre-order.

In case you missed it, 25 years after the release of their only album, Temple of the Dog is touring!  The tour hits Seattle on November 20 and tickets go on sale Friday at noon.

I’m Kim Monroe, join me weekdays from 2-6 on The New Rock 989.

About Kim Monroe

Born in Northeast Ohio, traveled to Charlotte, NC, Seattle, Cleveland and finally back to Seattle. This is, by far, my favorite city in the US, not to mention the best people! I am a happy mother of two great kids and lots of animals! In my rare downtime, I enjoy reading and watching true crime shows, plus American Horror Story every season!
